Delonte West

It is a good thing for the Cleveland Cavaliers that Delonte West is finally started to get his minutes and make the best of all of them, he is started to contribute like he did last year to our 66 win team. He is finally starting to get comfortable and confident again and you can tell by the way he is playing in every game so far, he is hitting his shots and playing gritty defense on opposing scoring threats. I've personally always like Delonte and he took a lot of heat this past off-season and beginning of the season, and he didnt let it get too him, he kept his cool and his composure and it sure is paying off, GO CAVS and GO D-WEST!

Allen Iverson

http://farm1.static.flickr.com/54/107763319_dbbb27519c.jpgAfter a long struggle this season and alot of confusing situations for Allen Iverson thus far, he is finally back home where he wants to be, with the Philadelphia 76ers! He had a rough season last year with the Detroit Pistons, and 3 games this year with the Memphis Grizzlies, but all in all, he made it back home and is happier than ever, he should make an instant contribution to a struggling Sixers team. We will just have to be patient until he is back into tip-top shape and then I think we will all see the A.I we are used too seeing, it should be nice too see, I like his style of play and hope he does well!

Basketball Season

Basketball season is FINALLY here! Unfortunate the football team lost, but the good out of that is that basketball season starts! I cant wait, we should be very good this year, if we dont hurt ourselves! Right now coming into the season, our starting lineup is C-Landon Trainer, PF-Pat Tipton, SF-Kodey Chance, SG-Kyle Cramer, PG-Me (Ryan Tarter)....this is almost the same team we had growing up when we were so dominant, this season is going to be a fun and interesting one! You'll just have too wait and see!!

Football Team

Our football team had a great season but unfortunately they got knocked off this past weekend to the Norwalk St. Paul Flyers, their team was ridiculously amazing, they were the fastest team we have seen all year and they scored whenever they wanted too. It started off decent for us but as the game went on, it kept getting worse and worse and worse, so unfortunately our season came to an end in a blowout, 48-7. Better luck next year!!

Cleveland Rocks!

The Cavs are finally starting to play good again, winning 4 straight, obviously Lebron James is doing what he does, but finally Mo is starting to get his jumpshot falling as well, along with contributions from Shaq, AP, Andy and Boobie, the Cavs are starting to look like the contender they were supposed to be starting the year.....GO CAVS!!!

Boston Celtics- C-Rasheed Wallace PF-Kevin Garnett SF-Paul Pierce SG-Ray Allen PG-Rajon Rondo....unfortunately I started this post before and am finishing after the Cavs first 2 games, in which they started 0-2! Its okay I have faith in the Cavaliers!!

Flu and sports

This little flu bug has bitten LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. James ended up missing the club's final home exhibition game against the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night because of flu-like symptoms that have been bothering him for several days. Forward Darnell Jackson and guard Coby Karl were also out with the flu. James and his two teammates were told to stay home so they don't spread the flu. As a standard precaution, all of the players will be tested for the H1N1 virus, team officials said. The NBA's reigning MVP, James has been under the weather for the past few days. He was sent home from practice on Tuesday and was not at the Wednesday morning shoot around. In addition, the Cavaliers will be without guards Mo Williams (groin), Delonte West (personal reasons) and forward Danny Green (leg bruise).

Shaq

Mike Brown, LeBron James and the rest of the Cavaliers have been impressed by O'Neal's conditioning through the first few days of camp. At 37, the 325-pound center looks trim and is moving well. "He's in really good shape," James said. O'Neal is coming off one of the longest off seasons of his career. While playing in Phoenix last year, he missed the playoffs for the first time since 1993 when he was a rookie in Orlando. He took two weeks off after the season, then spent the rest of the summer playing baseball, football, beach volleyball, boxing and swimming. "It was different," O'Neal said. "When you do this for so long, everything else gets tiresome. How many times can you go do the stairmaster, the treadmill or the elliptical? You do that twice a day, stuff gets boring. I wanted to mix it up." This season should be interesting

Cavaliers

Delonte West worked out with his Cleveland Cavaliers teammates on Thursday after missing the first two days of training camp. West could still face a league suspension after he was arrested for gun possession in Maryland. Police pulled over his 3-wheel motorcycle for a traffic violation and found he was carrying three loaded weapons two handguns and a shotgun in a guitar case. West averaged 11.7 points during the regular season last year, but was arguably the second-most important player in the playoffs after LeBron James. West played 42 minutes per game during the postseason, averaging 13.8 points, 4.1 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 14 games. All the Cavaliers have welcomed Delonte back with open arms.

Mogadore Sports

So lately, all of the Mogadore sports have been doing very good lately, with the football team starting off 3-0 with their latest win being on live television. The volleyball team has being doing well also, they're competing night in an night out, the golf team led by yours truly ;) has been up and down, but have been having success lately, are doing well also! Tonight the football team plays the Rootstown Rovers, should be another victory for the Cats, with the wins over Garfield last night for both the volleyball and golf teams, they improved their records and hope the football team will do the very same tonight. Next week the golf team has a match Monday and the PTC tourny wednesday. Hopefully we do good!

The NBA Season

The NBA season is coming up soon, with training camp starting for the Cleveland Cavaliers in exactly 17 days, the Cavs are looking to build off of last years season, in which they were 65-17, with a 39-2 record at home. Last year everybody was certain the Cavs would make it to the finals for sure, even possibly win the NBA championship. Unfortunately they fell short and it was a great disappointment to the Cleveland community and all of the Cavaliers fans, in the offseason the Cavs bulked up their roster to improve their chances at getting the NBA title, which would be the first in team history, they started off very strong when the aquired Shaquille O'Neal from the Pheonix Suns for Ben Wallace, Sasha Pavlovic and cash considerations. They were then in the hunt of getting two more great players, Ron Artest and Trevor Ariza, they fell short on both of those because they were uncertain of wheter or not Lebron would stay past 2010, we then got Anthony Parker, Leon Powe and Jamario Moon, all proven and athletic players. So this year I'm looking forward to watching the team play and looking more forward to see if we can make a championship run and finally win ONE title! It'll be interesting too see if we can and if it'll persway Lebron to stay in Cleveland, his home!

The Golf Playoffs

The golf playoffs for the PGA started this past weekend, with Tiger Woods in the lead for the FedEx Cup, everybody assumed that he would win this past weekends tournament, The Barclays. The Barclays is the first of 4 playoff tournaments for FedEx Cup points, at the end of the 4 tournaments, there is a FedEx Cup winner and the winner gets a big trophy and tons of money. This past weekend (Thurs., Fri., Sat., Sun.) Tiger was never really in the hunt to win the tournament, but like always he made a weekend charge, he went from E par on Friday, to -4 under par by days end on Saturday, 5 shots behind the leader, which is no task for Tiger. Tiger made a late push on the back 9 Sunday, he shot -4 under for the day again, to finish the tournament -8 under, Tiger would have forced a playoff if he could have sunk his 14 footer for birdie on the 18th green, his 72nd hole. Tiger barley missed the put, keeping him at a tie for 2nd with 4 other players, the winner, Heath Slocum, sunk a 31 footer to save par on the 18th hole an won the tournament by 1 stroke, -9 under. There is still 3 more tournaments with this weekends coming up, The Deutche Bank championship, it would be safe to assume that Tiger is looking to win no doubt, and keep his lead in the FedEx Cup points race, I'll go with Tiger winning.

(Tiger reacting to his missed birdie putt on 18 at The Barclays, the putt was to force a playoff)
